Final Project outline

I am going to documenting generations of literary influence. I have designated my population to be based on "Generations" beginning with Generation 0 (ages 1-9), Generation 1 (ages 10-19)Generation 2 (ages 20-29)Generation 3 (ages 30-39)Generation 4 (ages 40-49)Generation 5 (ages 50-59)Generation 6 (ages 60-69)Generation 7 (ages 70-79)Generation 8 (ages 80-89)Generation 9 (ages 90-99)
I plan on having three subjects for each generation. Each of these subjects will be asked to 1. recall two of their favorite books and discuss why2. Do you remeber a book that changed the way you thought, acted, beleived, or personality...Did they have a book that helped shape their identity?
From these recollections, I plan on connecting the type of book to its "forefather" and highlighting their contribution which allowed them to have such a life altering experience.
I am looking for subjects in Generation 7, 8, and 9 if anyone has some references.

Tricia,

For 7, 8, or 9, you might want to check senior retirement communities or community civic centers. there should be a wide reange of individuals that participate in those programs. Or you might want to check with Volunteer Houston too. Maybe someone can steer you in the right direction.

In a and B of my project, both stories had someone telling the story-a frame story with stories within a story. That's why I will try to connect the two together as serving the same purpose.

I have many international students on my campus. some of them are from the Middle East, Asia, and India. Maybe, I can get some feedback from them, but I will definitely keep your Persian friend in mind. Thanks for the input.

Wow...what an ambitious project. I like the mix of personal touch with literary content. Are you worried about the time limit (not that he really gave us one)? My dad fits category 7...he has Alzheimer's but probably has enough long-term memory for those questions. I may go see him this weekend if you're still in need.
